make nature your playground

This autumn my aim is to spend loads of time outside. I actually enjoy the west coast beaches and the forest more in the cooler seasons because they are just so wild. Nothing beats getting rugged up and playing in nature’s elements. So I’ve moved a few of our planned activities and with daughter and puppy in tow, we now have plenty of free days to just head outdoors and explore!

MUDDY PUDDLES…

if you’re two years old then jumping in puddles is one of the best forms of entertainment there is!

BEAUTY…

waterfalls, flowers, butterflies, the surf…these things can memorise a child for ages.

EVER CHANGING…

those trees that were packed full of leaves yesterday are bare today. there’s no sand to play on because the tide is in. that little caterpillar became a butterfly. every day is the chance to discover something new.

IMAGINATION…

see that little bush? It’s not a little bush, it’s a hut. That stick? It’s a magic wand. and careful! don’t get too close to that puddle coz a hippo lives in there!

LEARNING AROUND EVERY CORNER…

can you see the orange butterfly? how many pink flowers can you count? can you balance on that log? Around every corner is the chance for kids to test their limits and learn about new things. You are the very best teacher a child can have.
